A story of ambition, tradition, and pizza made straight from the heart.
It is magical to watch someone do what they truly love. I had the privilege of photographing the Pizzeria d'Giro - tradizione.se team, or as I now think of them, the Tradizione family, during the Garden Concerts at Bjerreds Station. And what started as a food photography gig quickly became one of the most inspiring stories I've witnessed this summer.

Because these aren't just two guys selling pizza. Andrea and Niklas are two passionate, ambitious, hardworking souls who brought a genuine slice of Italy to Sweden, and they built it all themselves.
From Dream to Dough: A Mobile Oven Six Months in the Making.

Here's the part most people don't know when they line up for a Margherita.
Andrea and Niklas didn't just rent a food truck and throw on an oven. They built their entire mobile pizzeria from scratch. It took them nearly six months of blood, sweat, and Italian craftsmanship to design and construct the truck that now carries their wood-fired dreams from one event to the next.
Every inch of that truck was thought through and designed to serve authentic Neapolitan pizza just as it's made back in Italy. When you see that portable wood-fired oven glowing and working tirelessly through the evening, know this: that oven is riding in a truck that Andrea and Niklas built with their own hands.
That's the level of commitment we're talking about.
Authenticity Isn't Just a Word - It's Imported
When they say "authentic Italian," they mean it.
Andrea and Niklas import their ingredients directly from Italy - the tomatoes, the mozzarella, the flour that makes the crust what it is. There's no corner-cutting, no "good enough." This is tradition, respect, and a refusal to compromise on what real Italian pizza should taste like. And you can taste that integrity in every single bite.

A Well-Oiled Family of Four
Watching them work during the Garden Concerts was like watching a perfectly choreographed dance — except this dance happened around a 400-degree wood-fired oven, and the music was sizzling pizza and happy conversations.
The event ran for 10 days, and Andrea and Niklas showed up every single evening with the same fire, the same smiles, and the same unwavering energy.
Here's how it worked:
Andrea was the voice and the host - addressing guests, welcoming people, making everyone feel like they were being served in a family kitchen back in Naples.

Niklas was the artist behind the design - meticulously crafting each pizza, layering toppings with the precision of someone who truly respects the craft.

Their two summer workers kept the rhythm alive - one sliding pizzas into that roaring wood-fired oven, and the other at the serving window, garnishing, slicing, and making sure every customer left happier than they arrived.

And the whole time? Smiles, Laughter, Teamwork. Andrea and Niklas were constantly supporting each other, checking in, celebrating small wins, and lifting each other through the heat and the hustle. It wasn't just a team - it was a family.
The Faces Say It All
Let me tell you something, I ate the pizza too, and I understood immediately why people kept coming back. But what stayed with me even more was the faces of the people walking away from that truck. Pure satisfaction. That look you get when you've just had something real, something made with love, something that reminds you food isn't just fuel - it's joy.

For 10 days straight, Andrea, Nicola, and their two young helpers worked hard. Really hard. Long evenings. Hot ovens. Non-stop orders. And never once did I see anything but passion, pride, and warmth from that little corner of Italy parked in a Swedish garden.
